Netwerk24 writes that employees of Clifton Publications in Maitland, Cape Town, are facing an uncertain future after a large part of the company’s factory was destroyed in a fire on Saturday night.
The large fire was brought under control at about 0452 on Sunday morning, but by 0900 firefighters were still busy putting out smaller blazes. According to Clifton’s website, the company, which focuses on printing and also manufactures paper products, employs up to 100 workers. There is no indication in the report that anyone was injured.
