TMG Digital reports that a security guard has died after being shot in an apparent cash-in-transit heist in the Vaal area on Monday morning. Apparently the man‚ believed to be in his 30s, was driving the cash vehicle on Westinghouse Boulevard‚ when suspects opened fire.
He was shot multiple times, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a wall. ER24’s Chitra Harduth reported that when ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene the man was in a critical condition. “His condition deteriorated and paramedics began to resuscitate him. Despite all efforts to save the man‚ he sadly died‚” she stated.
