sapsTimesLive reports that the body of a policeman who had been shot repeatedly in the head was discovered in a roadside ditch in Folweni‚ south of Durban‚ on Tuesday morning.  

Community members alerted the police when they found a dead man along the road between Umbumbulu and Folweni.  Police spokesperson Colonel Thembeka Mbhele stated:  “On arrival the members established that the body was that of a 38-year-old police officer who was stationed at King Shaka International Airport.”  She said that he had been on his way to work when he was shot three times in the head and once in the chest by unknown suspects.  His service firearm had been taken.  A case of murder has been opened for investigation.
