Now in 2017, a group of 32 of the world’s largest gold mines are dragging their heels in an historic class action lawsuit brought by 56 mineworkers diagnosed with silicosis and tuberculosis, because it would probably work out cheaper for them to be in court for the next 15 years than it would be to compensate all of the claimants.  Johanna Chisholm and Daniela Q.
