cosatueNCA reports that Cosatu’s Sixth Central Committee meeting, which is expected to last for four days, kicks off in Pretoria on Monday.

The theme will be ‘Unity and Cohesion of Cosatu to advance the National Democratic Revolution for Socialism’, while the implementation of Cosatu’s congress resolutions and campaigns will be discussed.  Members will also prepare for the events of its alliance partners, which include the SA Communist Party’s congress and the ANC's policy and consultative conference.  Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to address the gathering after the labour federation disallowed President Jacob Zuma from making speeches at its events.
