eskomNews24 reports that the Democratic Alliance (DA) and the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) can intervene in former Eskom CEO Brian Molefe’s Labour Court reinstatement application, it was ruled on Tuesday.

Molefe’s application is set to be heard this Thursday.  Molefe was reappointed as CEO of the parastatal by the Eskom board on 12 May, after a disagreement over a R30m pension payout.  However, Public Enterprises Minister Lynne Brown then announced that his reappointment had been rescinded on 30 May.  Molefe approached the Labour Court to challenge the decision to rescind his reappointment.
