UIFBusinessLive reports about frustration at the Unemployment Insurance Fund’s (UIF's) new uFiling website, which is still not working properly since its re-launch on 1 April.  

It had been down for an overhaul since mid-February.  Makhosonke Buthelezi, the UIF’s director of communication and marketing, said the uFiling website was working but that it had “some challenges”, which the Department of Labour hoped to resolve by the end of May.  Buthelezi explained that users who wanted to register their companies and those who wanted to submit claims for the first time were able to do so, but those who had been using the system before and wanted to transact in the new system were experiencing problems, particularly with their historical information.  Comments on the UIF’s Facebook page reflected the dissatisfaction of employers trying to submit their monthly declarations and pay UIF on behalf of workers.  Buthelezi advised that employers should submit their queries to This email address is being protected from spambots.
