BL Premium reports that the Steel and Engineering Industries Federation of SA (Seifsa) announced on Monday that industry veteran Lucio Trentini has been appointed as the federation's CEO with immediate effect.
He replaces Kaizer Nyatsumba who resigned in July. Prior to his resignation, the employer body had lifted a suspension of Nyatsumba that had been in effect since May. Until his new appointment, Trentini had been the Operations Director at Seifsa. He has been with Seifsa since 1990 and over the last two decades has been involved at management and executive level at the organisation and has been actively involved in the leadership of the federation. Seifsa represents 19 employer organisations employing about 190,000 workers. In accepting his appointment, Trentini expressed his gratitude to the Seifsa board, council and executive team in entrusting him with the stewardship of the federation over what by all accounts will be a difficult and challenging period going forward.
