nhlsNews24 reports that Joyce Mogale, former CEO of the National Health Laboratory Services (NHLS), appeared in the Palm Ridge Specialised Commercial Crime Court on Monday for alleged tender corruption of more than R113 million.

She was granted R20,000 bail. The charges relate to a contract in 2016 with Blue Future Internet and Surveillance for maintenance and support of end-user computer hardware for three years. The former CEO has been charged with fraud and contravention of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) following her misrepresentations to the board of directors at NHLS. She handed herself over to the Hawks' Serious Commercial Crime Investigation team in Germiston on Monday morning. Mogale’s case was postponed on Monday to 17 September for trial. Mogale will be joined by four co-accused, who are also out on bail.
