eNCA reports that several incidents have been reported in relation to the threat of truck drivers to embark on a strike on Sunday to demonstrate against companies employing more foreign nationals than locals.
Police say that since Saturday, some trucks have been shot at and some have been stoned. Spokesperson Robert Netshiunda said they were following up on three incidents of violence they suspected were related to the strike in the eThekwini area. "We are on the roads, we're monitoring. So far, traffic is flowing," he said.
