Cape Argus reports that a security officer was shot and wounded outside a restaurant at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town last Thursday.
V&A Waterfront head of communications Donald Kau said the incident took place outside of the boom gate entrance to Grand Africa eatery. Police spokesperson Wesley Twigg indicated that the suspects shot the victim in the chest before fleeing the scene. He advised that Table Bay police were investigating an attempted murder case and added that the motive for the shooting was unknown. No arrests have been made. The victim was taken to a medical facility for treatment.
