sapsDailyDispatch reports that police have launched a manhunt after a SA Police Service (SAPS) administrative clerk was gunned down at her home in the Eastern Cape on Friday.

Bongiwe Ramncwana, 48, was shot dead at about 5.30pm in White City, Sada Township, Whittlesea. According to the police, Ramncwana, who worked at the Whittlesea SAPS, was attacked as she opened her gate. She was declared dead on the scene. Police spokesperson Captain Namhla Mdleleni indicated: “The suspect, who was driving a white Suzuki, opened fire on the victim. The motive is unknown.”
