Press Statement dated 14 May 2018

The conciliation between the employer and the Public Servants Association (PSA) is set for today, 14 May 2018 at the Public Service Co-ordinating Bargaining Council (PSCBC) at 11:00.

The PSA which represents about 238 000 public service workers, declared a dispute after realising that the employer is negotiating in bad faith when the negotiations dragged for months and the government not seeming to meet the demands of labour.

This process hopes to demonstrate to the employer that labour is serious about improving the working conditions in the public service including remuneration and that the employer will come with an improved offer for workers.

The PSA will address members of the media outside PSCBC Offices after the conciliation meeting.
