South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) employees represented by the Public Servants Association (PSA) intensifies their call for a living wage and shuts down tools in all SASSA offices today, Monday, 2 July 2018.

All SASSA Offices will be affected countrywide. This comes after the PSA delivered its memorandum of demands on 21 June 2018 to SASSA Head Offices in Pretoria, which the Minister of Social Development failed to consider.

SASSA employees from various offices in Gauteng and surrounding areas will come together for a mass protest at the SASSA head office in Pretoria:-

Venue: Prodinsa House – SASSA Head Office, 501 Steve Biko Street, Arcadia, Pretoria

SASSA employees in KwaZulu-Natal area will meet at Pietermaritzburg Dales Park at 11:00 to march to SASSA Regional Offices in Pietermaritzburg:-

Venue: SASSA Regional Office, 1 Bank Street, Pietermaritzburg

The PSA will address members of the media outside SASSA Offices in Pretoria and Pietermaritzburg.
