The Solidarity Research Institute will present its in-depth research report on the NHI, conducted among 3 983 health practitioners, at the trade union’s crisis summit tomorrow.
The findings of the research, which among other, included general practitioners, specialists, nursing staff, chemists, and other professionals in the health care environment, offers for the first time since the Amendment Bill saw the light in July, the opinions of health care professionals regarding this controversial subject.
The report presents significant findings regarding health care professionals’ knowledge on the NHI and how informed they really are. More important is the health care professionals’ opinions with regard to the state’s ability to implement the NHI successfully.
Shocking statistics in the report show the number of health care professionals who believe that private health care providers will leave the country if the NHI is implemented.
Members of the media are invited to attend the summit during which this highly informative report will be released.
