northwestprovinceNews24 reports that temporary teachers in North West who did not get their April salaries will be paid on Thursday, the provincial education department has promised.

The affected teachers worked in schools in the Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati district and should have been paid on 26 April.  The non-payment was due to schools not submitting their paperwork to the district office on time.  In some schools, principals appointed teachers without following their revised post-provisioning model (PPM), which changed every year with the increase or reduction of the number of pupils in each school.
