TimesLive reports that former Cosatu general secretary Zwelinzima Vavi has lashed out at leaders of the ruling ANC and its alliance partners‚ labour federation Cosatu and the SA Communist party (SACP).
He labelled them as “thieves who have transformed from the principles of selflessness to those of selfishness”. Addressing an estimated 400 members of the newly formed labour union‚ the South African Public Service Union‚ in East London’s Frere Hospital on Monday afternoon, Vavi tore into the tripartite alliance leaders‚ saying they had abandoned the principle of a better life for all and replaced it with a principle of a better life “for a few connected and elite individuals”.
