ITWeb reported on Monday that the strike at the Independent Communications Authority of SA (Icasa) was in its second week, as employees continued to protest for their demands to be met.

They are also demanding payment of their bonuses for the 2014-15 financial year. According to Icasa spokesperson Paseka Maleka, the strike is still on and, while it was unclear when employees would return to work, there has been engagement between management and staff representatives to ensure all matters were addressed.
